You can plant shallots 'Red Sun' very early in spring; the first beautiful days in March are particularly suitable for this. Plant the shallots deep enough so that they are just below ground level, the upper part may just be visible. If planted on time, the shallots are ready for harvesting in July-August as soon as the foliage has 'settled'.
