Passiflora Edulis - Buy 20 Seeds?

Sowing passionflowers is a fascinating adventure! Important here is a regular supply of fresh seed, otherwise germination takes a very long time or is delayed. By cooperating with the National Collection of Passion Flowers, we are assured of a successful and special assortment. Flowering time is usually in summer, from May-November. In the plant's cycle, a sowing time of February-May is recommended, however, with extra care, year-round sowing is possible. Soak seeds first in milk for 1 day, then sow in an airy mixture of 3/4 sifted peat moss and 1/4 washed sand, under cover of a cover or foil. Germination temperature 25-30°C, air when the 1st set of leaves is formed. Most species get fruit by cross-pollination; a few self-pollinators are listed separately. Some varieties can withstand our winters outdoors, others should be treated as tub plants.

Although in the world this species is mainly known for its edible fruits, you may first enjoy its beautiful flowers: 8 cm across with an outer corona, which is lilac blue at first and white and curly at the long ends.
