Ornamental grass - Panicum Heavy Metal - Buy 3 Plants?

Panicum virgatum 'Heavy Metal' , called finger grass in Dutch, is a medium-sized deciduous grass with an upright , columnar habit. The attractive narrow linear leaves are blue-green to blue-grey in colour, turning a beige-yellow in autumn. Panicum virgatum 'Heavy Metal' flowers from August to October with airy mauve flower panicles that once the seed begins to ripen turn straw-coloured quite quickly. Finger grass likes a sunny position in slightly moist, well-drained, not too fertile soil. This plant is very hardy, reasonably drought-tolerant, tolerates sea breezes and air pollution well, gets few or no pests or diseases. Panicum virgatum 'Heavy Metal' is useful in borders, prairie gardens, flower meadows and interesting for group planting.
