Lemon and Lime Tree

The Citrus Lime, or lemon tree, is a beautiful ornamental plant with fragrant flowers. Place it in a sunny spot and enjoy your lemon tree in your own garden. This tub plant is richly flowering and can bear a lot of fruit. The blossom of the lemon tree spreads a lovely, sweet fragrance. The creamy white flowers appear profusely in spring and the tree bears fruit every year. The elongated oval fruits are delicious and have a sweet skin and soft flesh.

Care

The Lemon tree does best as a tub plant. Choose a large flower pot with holes in the bottom. Give the Lemon tree plenty of water immediately after planting. Citrus likes to grow in a sunny, sheltered place. Further prune back long branches in February and remove crossing twigs to encourage new growth. Water regularly in summer, rainwater is preferable. The soil should not get too wet, so a pot with holes in the bottom is recommended. Note; Citrus is not a hardy tree and should therefore be brought inside before frost. The citrus tree can also be used year-round as a houseplant.
