Luxan - Woodworm remedy

Luxan Wood Insecticide-P woodwormicide controls woodworm and other wood-damaging insects. When applied correctly, the remedy prevents re-infestation for a long time. You can apply this woodwormicide yourself with a brush, roller or with a pressure sprayer.

Instructions Luxan Woodworm remedy

First clean the woodwork to be treated, and rid it of dust, borax and dirt. Do this in a dry state. In case of infestation by the longhorn beetle (Hylotrupus bajulus), it is desirable to first open up the borings and brush out as much as possible of the pollen present. Drill flour and waste wood should be removed and preferably burnt.

Before treating the wood with this woodworm agent, first remove any stain, paint or wax layers present. All necessary work on the wood (sanding, sawing etc) must be completed before treatment with the product is started. Luxan woodworm agent should be applied in undiluted form.

Luxan woodworm product for preventive useOn the surface to be treated, apply 125 grams per m² (this is 158 ml per m²) of woodworm product by brushing with a brush, paint roller or pressure sprayer. The frequency for preventive use is once to twice during the loan period of the wood.

Luxan woodworm agent for curative (rendering woodworm harmless) useApply 250 grams per m² (i.e. 316 ml per m²) of the agent on the surface to be treated by brushing with a brush, paint roller or pressure sprayer. If necessary, apply the required amount in more than one operation, so that per operation the liquid just does not drip off. Frequency: once or twice during the life of the wood.

For controlling the large woodworm (Xestobium rufovillosum), a professional woodworm exterminator should be engaged.

Attention:

It is recommended to check periodically and in any case about 1 year after application whether the treatment has been adequate. If borage is found again, the wood should be treated locally with Luxan woodworm pesticide.

Only non-professional use is allowed as preventive and curative woodworm agent to treat wood for the prevention and control of wood destroying insects. The agent may only be applied indoors and under the roof. Only permitted on wood within a construction with use class 1.

Always wear protective clothing such as overalls and a respiratory mask.
