Moringa Oleifera - Miracle Tree - Buy 10 Seeds?

The Moringa oleifera is known as a miracle tree because all parts of the plant can be used for something and the leaves and fruits have high nutritional and medicinal uses. In developing countries, the tree is regularly planted on plantations to combat malnutrition in the population. The species can withstand drought well, making it very suitable for planting in Africa and India, for example. The immature, green fruits are most commonly used in Asian dishes, while the seeds can be eaten as nuts or processed into behen oil (they contain 30-40% oil). The seeds also have purifying properties, so they can make polluted water drinkable. The flowers can also be cooked and the leaves can be eaten like spinach. The leaves contain many vitamins and minerals and can also be dried for tea.
The species can grow 12 metres tall in the wild, but can be kept as a tub plant with us. Provide sandy soil and protect the plant from frost in winter. It is a fast grower for a place in the sun. Originally, the plant comes from the southern slopes of the Himalayas in northwest India.
(Not to be confused with the other miracle tree or also called miracle oil tree (Ricinus communis), whose seeds are highly poisonous!)

Sowing description: Soak seeds overnight in lukewarm water, then sow in sowing soil at 20-25 grC. Keep soil constantly moist (not wet), after which germination usually occurs within a few weeks.
