Hydrangea Macrophylla Early Blue - 3 Plants - Buy Farmers Hydrangea?

Perhaps the most famous hydrangea is Hydrangea macrophylla, better known as the peasant hydrangea. The peasant hydrangea got its name because it was often planted near farms. These colourful hydrangeas are a real eye-catcher in the garden. In summer, they are in full bloom, brightening up your garden. The peasant hydrangea is so popular because these shrubs bloom so abundantly with their beautiful blue flowers.

Care for
It is important to cut off the spent flowers of Hydrangeas. However, leave the old flowers alone during the winter months. They form a protection for the new flower buds against frost and inclement winds. In March, when the danger of frost has passed, all brown, old, spent flowers can be pruned back to just above the first or second healthy bud. This type of pruning encourages the growth of new shoots and ensures that flower size does not decline. All types of Hydrangeas absolutely do not like drought. Give them plenty of water when dry, especially in spring and summer. It is not wise to give them a little water every now and then. It is best to give them a large amount of water at once. Sometimes Hydrangeas become a little bare at the bottom during the flowering season. The leaves may also turn yellow. This is almost always caused by drought.

To ensure that blue hydrangeas also stay blue, I recommend adding alum or aluminium sulphate in spring.

Plant on delivery
These blue Hydrangeas are delivered with a height of 30-40cm (this is measured including the pot). This hardy garden plant are delivered in a pot with a diameter/diameter of 10.5cm.
