The large-flowered, decorative dahlia 'Bacardi' is a rewarding summer bloomer that will give you months of pleasure. Dahlia 'Bacardi' flowers all summer from July until the first night frost. Dahlia 'Bacardi' grows about 90 cm tall. Sometimes it is necessary to support the flower stems. Dahlia tubers can be planted in spring. Dahlias are frost-sensitive, so beware of late night frosts. Dig a generous planting hole, loosen the soil and fill the planting hole with good potting soil. Carefully place the tubers in the planting hole and cover with 3-5 cm. of soil. The planting distance of the dahlia tubers is 30-60 cm. After planting, water the tubers immediately. Dahlias flower most profusely in full sun. After flowering, store the tubers in a frost-free place and you will enjoy them for years. Dahlia 'Bacardi' combines well with perennials and other dahlia varieties. The flowers are real eye-catchers in the border. This dahlia is also an excellent cut flower and has a long vase life. The best time to cut dahlias is early in the day. Place the stems immediately in lukewarm water with cut flower food. Day lily Night Embers is easy to care for and requires little maintenance! Ideal for any garden! It emerges early after winter, and slowly expands. The day lily grows well in the open ground. Dig a generous planting hole and loosen the soil well. Improve the garden soil with compost. Place the daylily at the right height in the planting hole. The top of the root system should be just slightly below soil level. Fill the planting hole with soil and press firmly. Water immediately after planting. Daylilies grow well in full sun or semi-shade. Day lilies combine well with other perennials (e.g. Hostas, Phlox and Peonies).
