Want to buy Nature winter cover with zip Ø 200 x 250 cm?
Tarpaulin cover made of white, UV-resistant, non-woven polypropylene. The cover has a zip and a cord at the bottom for quick fastening and, when pulled tight, for better insulation. The zip allows quick care, airing or watering of the plant. Suitable for protecting (Mediterranean) plants and shrubs from low temperatures (light frost). The fleece lets water and air through well, which means that the plant can breathe. This prevents suffocation of the plant.
Why is non-woven polypropylene the best choice?
Non-woven fabric has no warp and weft threads and is very convenient to cut and sew
It is the light and easy to form.
It has good air and moisture permeability which is essential for plants
It lets light through and thus creates a nursery effect in the mid-season.

Why protect plants in winter?
Often the garden is our pride and joy. All spring, we work hard to create our own backyard paradise. Carefully selected plants, tropical trees or our own vegetable garden. It is the biggest nightmare to see it all lost in winter. This is due to several reasons:
Frost on the leaves will cause them to burn from the sun without cover.
In winter, evergreen plants evaporate moisture through the leaves, which cannot be replenished by the plant from the soil in the event of frost.
We therefore recommend that you also protect your plants from falling temperatures, wet days and frost. Insulating and covering plants and trees not only helps in winter but also protects against parasites and pests, speeds up seed germination and protects newly budding buds in spring. Also protect the roots from freezing, for example with bubble wrap.
Which plants do you need to protect against frost?
Hardy plants do not need to be protected from frost because they produce a kind of anti-freeze which keeps the sap flowing. Moderately hardy plants only need to be protected against severe frost and non-hardy plants need to be protected against moderate frost. Caution! If plants are in containers or pots, they need to be protected from the cold sooner, even if they are hardy like boxwood.
Non-hardy plants
Plants that are not winter-hardy, such as subtropical and tropical plants, should be protected from frost! By nature, these plants are not used to surviving in the cold. Examples of not hardy plants are:
- Palm trees.
- Banana plants.
- Agaves.
- Eucalyptus.
- Small olive trees.
- Orchids
