Winter plant garlic Messidrome is planted in September-October and can be harvested in July-August. The recommended minimum planting distance is (per clove) 15 cm in the rows and 15 cm between rows. This white garlic has excellent cooking quality, moderate earliness, nice yield and long storage life. This plant garlic comes in a bag.

Tip: Garlic prefers to grow in the sun, in a warm place. Garlic also grows in almost all soils with a good structure, but preferably in a soil of fertile, loose, humus-rich soil that retains moisture but is sufficiently permeable (avoid clay).

In well-maintained soil, fertilisation is not really necessary. If you do add fertiliser, do not use fertilisers rich in nitrogen (such as stable manure) to reduce the risk of diseases such as head rot or mould. Rather use a potassium-rich fertiliser.

Braiding is possible. This involves braiding the foliage of the garlic together with a cord. We then hang the braid in a well-ventilated, dry room.

Covering garlic left in the garden against too severe frost with a fleece is also always conducive to a good harvest the following year.
