Which month to sow flowers?

Many annual flowers can be sown directly outdoors from mid-April. If you want to speed up the growth process, you can do so by first growing these annual flowers in a greenhouse from March and then planting them out.

How should you sow flower seeds?

Sowing can be done directly in the open ground on site from April. Loosen the soil slightly, remove all weeds and improve poor soil by mixing in a little potting soil. Spread the seeds and press lightly, water immediately.

How many flower seeds per m2?

For flower mixtures, a seeding rate of 1.5 to 2 grams per m2 is often used. Most field flowers are sown by hand. Not everyone manages to reach this sowing recommendation. When determining the seed amount, it is best to assume at least 2 grams per m2.

How do you store flower seeds?

First put the seeds in a paper bag, coffee filter or envelope and write the name of the flower and the date on the package. Put the bags in an airtight jar and put it in a cool, dark place, for example in the vegetable drawer of the fridge. This will keep your seeds germinating for years!
