This impressive Imperial Crown has orange, pendulous, bell-shaped flowers. The strong air of the bulbs keeps mice and moles at bay. It is advisable to plant the bulb at a slight angle when planting to avoid water staying in the bulb. It is not a true 'naturaliser'. If you want to keep the bulbs, uproot them as soon as possible after the leaves have died off and store them in a dry place above 20 degrees until replanting in October. Also nice to combine with other bulbs in a pot on terrace or balcony.
