Echinacea is also called Sunflower. Echinacea Green Twister produces striking flowers in summer. They stand out because of their size and colours: a combination of a red heart surrounded by contrasting green petals. Even when the flower has finished blooming and the green petals hang down discoloured, this flower still has ornamental value. An added attraction is that during flowering it is a coming and going of countless bumblebees and butterflies. Height 70-80 cm. Echinacea is suitable for sunny spots and fertile soil that is not too wet. Give this plant a layer of 3 to 4 cm of compost every autumn so that it does not have to fight too hard with other species for nutrients.
